It has been indicated that an advance party of robots will likely be required if individuals are to settle other planets. Collaborating with roboticists and computer scientists, my group and I have been working on such a pair of robots. Manufactured via 3D printer — and constructed autonomously — the robots we are creating continually evolve as a way to quickly maximize the conditions that they find themselves.

From an engineering standpoint, we’ve made the”RoboFab” to completely automate production.
