Remote teams can also benefit from other key features. It is secure and cloud-based. It allows us to share and store content quickly. This is a must-have for remote jobs.
As an agency with multiple clients and projects, we use Trello (and sometimes Asana) to stay organized and make sure all deadlines are met on time. Trello is great because it allows me to track every task and work with as many people as I need. I also have Trello downloaded to my smartphone so that I can keep track of all projects, no matter where I’m at the time.
As a 100% remote growth company, we utilize a cloud-based program, Basecamp, for task management. The project is organized by putting it in buckets. Slack allows you to monitor progress on different jobs and communicate with your team from anywhere. It is easy to use and keeps us all on the same page.

If you don’t have the right setup, managing a remote team can be challenging. Three key elements are essential for managing remote teams. They are communication, reliability, and quality. To ensure that we operate at a high standard, we use Jira and Basecamp to manage projects, and Slack and Skype to communicate and send emails as required. Multiplatforms add transparency.
A long-term plan
We only hire people that we trust and who are reliable. We set clear goals for remote teams so they understand our expectations. So that they can see themselves as part of the company in the long-term, we always offer them opportunities to work for it.
It is not as common as it sounds. There is almost always an apparent lack of communication after initial meetings or when you have completed all the tasks in your project management software. These teams then meet in separate meetings and split the tasks in a way that’s manageable and efficient for all.
